My Ma

Today would have been my mum's 99th birthday and this is one of the few photos I have of her as a young woman. I'm guessing she's about 19 in this photo, and if so, she would have been destined to spend the war years as a land girl on a farm in Dumfriesshire. She died 35 years ago this month and I still miss her.

Posting early today because I've got a lot to do before heading down to Troon later. Gill and I are off on a jaunt tomorrow...
