Fire!

Heritage open day at Oakwell Hall, Birstall.
I never tire of looking round the house. Always spot something I haven’t noticed before.

This was an unexpected surprise.
A preview of the Re-enactment of the American Revolution 1776 which is going to take place at the Hall on 5th October.
Of the many photos I took, I liked this one best as it included the lady, you can just see in the corner, with her hands over her ears.
I must say the musket fire was very loud.
A bit too much for some children, and there were a few tears.
Must say the first time it made me jump.
Unfortunately we will be away for the “real thing “as I think it will be a great event.
