Two church Sunday

I’ve spent most of my day in church.
This morning, our usual service in our village and this afternoon in our neighbouring village in my childhood church of St John for the institution of our new interim team rector.
The benefice has four churches in all within a couple of miles of each other. We had a joint choir from three of the churches, about 20 of us in all, which was very nice.
The top left picture shows all four on the service sheet from today.
The bottom left is the church I have attended since my children were young and been in the choir there for much of that time. I took it to show off the newly power washed bench that Chris has cleaned and repositioned.
The larger picture on the right was my childhood church, and where this afternoon’s induction took place. I went to Sunday school and was baptised there. Chris and I were married there and both our children were baptised there.
It’s one and a half miles from where I live now so as you can see I haven’t moved very far!
Looking forward to getting to know our new chap over th coming weeks.
