I have to go back and take a slower look at this - the gardener had tied vines together to get a tentacle look and they also had (you can see it in the photo) an extraordinarily happy banana plant.  very, very cool.  alas, no one else in the group thought it interesting, so I only had time for a couple of quick snaps.
