A day of two halves...

This morning, we had a family trip to Cambridge on a mission for Gogo in Zimbabwe.  We had been invited to Great St. Mary's and I had been asked to give a talk after the service. We were incredibly well looked after and warmly welcomed, and had a delicious lunch before heading home.

Back home for family DIY.  Yesterday the husband took up about 5 tons of screed, which some finishing. Grandpa came over to consult with the husband about jobs that need to be done for the kitchen building works, which are becoming a little hard work, let's say.

The day was rounded off at bath time, when we found that the hot water wasn't working, boiler is fine, apparently something to do with a valve.  Thank goodness that we have a power shower - after all the dust we can still get clean!
