A surprising Sunrise

Had a great day.  It was 60th Birthday of Russ, my sister-in-law’s husband and there was a family gathering, including the newly weds from August.  We always have a lovely time together, with lots of laughs and great entertainment.

The day had started with a hopeful walk, though the sky overhead was predominantly cloudy.  I decided to visit the pool adjacent to Wash Brook, so donned wellies as to get a shot at this time of year you had to walk into the margins.  I did briefly feel an ingress of water as the wellies were topped after an injudicious step, but it felt worth it to be able to get into this position.
