A jolly loud bang at the finish

The race ended at noon today and each finishing boat (72 I think) were welcomed over the finish line with a blast of the canon! I was so keen to get a shot of the actual fire coming out of the canon that I forgot just how loud it was - my ears were a bit tender for a while afterward! Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I only manage to capture the after smoke. Never mind. Well done to all those who participated and sailed the full 24 hours. It was quite straightforward conditions during the day so no real drama but apparently there was quite a windy spell during the night (but I was tucked up in my bed by then!) which resulted in a couple of teams having to be rescued.
