Birthday Boy

Today is my son Daniel's 19th birthday 19?!! How did that happen?

Here's Daniel, not really wanting his photo taken, lurking around in an alleyway called 'Goodwins Court'. We discovered this interesting alleyway for the first time this afternoon, after we'd had a trip to Covent Garden, where he tried on giant backpacks that made him resemble a standing-up tortoise!

I was telling him earlier that when I was at school in the Infants, when it was your birthday, you had to go up on to the stage in assembly and choose whether you'd like 'birthday claps' or 'birthday bumps'. The teachers would hold your hands and feet and bounce you up and down counting your age! Can you imagine that happening now?!

He's back up to town this evening for a meal with friends. Happy Birthday young man!
