Strenuously challenging
I thought day 1 was bad but this was horrendous. The steep downs and ups were practically vertical and the height of the steps was tricky. None of my extras do justice to them but one climb was three hundred feet from sea level.
We only did five and a half miles and it mizzled for a good half of it and tops were coming off, rain jackets going on etc., etc., but we did it from Crackington Haven to Penhalt Cliff and never have to do it again.
Had it been a sunny day, the scenery would have been stunning, as it was we had our head in the clouds most of the day. We did have a well-earned cream tea back at Crackington Haven though.
