Pont du Gard

We made a last minute decision to stop off at the 'Pont du Gard' on our way tonight to further south. By the time we arrived and found the bridge the sun had just set and although the bridge is lit some of the colours are a bit garish.  Decided to treat it as a 'reccy' visit as we'd no tripods with us and didnt go as far as the better viewpoints partly as we weren't sure if the car park would be closed. Going out of hours though had the advantage of far fewer people and not having to pay the usual entry fee ! They also don't seem to close the car park barriers.
