Vendanges!

Pinot noir was the crop of the day: five people, six hours in 35 degree temps, nine full 'cuves' for a total of 1,140kg of grapes at a nice sugar/alcohol content of 13.3. It takes 1kg of grapes for one bottle of white wine and 1.5kg of grapes for a bottle of red. :)

Long and tiring day but such a convivial activity!  Renewed appreciation for what it takes to fill a bottle of pinot!
