'Nollaig Na mBan'.........!

Happy Little Christmas today everyone on Jan6th....
Last official day of the festivities......this is Kitty this morning having one last look at the sparkly Christmas table-cloth....!

Women's Christmas...is what Nollaig na mBan translates as......and it was an old Irish custom that on this day the woman of the house 'rested' after hectic weeks of work and the men took over and looked after the house for the day!!!!

A more modern celebration is that you get together with your pals and either go out to dinner (mostly raising money for charities)......or else a Pot-Luck Supper at someones house.....
