The last morning in Zermatt (Backblip 4)
I loved the early morning skies and this shot was taken before 7 am, looking east. I love the simplicity of scenes like this and the silhouetted mountain and tree.
Extras:
- Geraniums were everywhere in the town of Zermatt. They looked fabulous. Here is one little window in one of the chalets. I do love the shutters!
- My hiking boots standing in front of the metal plaque commemorating the first person to successfully reach the summit of the Matterhorn in 1865. An English man called Edward Whymper.
