Rufus Castle
We had an early morning start to eat breakfast overlooking Chesil Beach and then visited the market opposite. The husbands both made tool related purchases. We passed a pleasant few hours back at the house chatting. Richard and I attended the same school although we hadn’t met back we had mutual friends. It turned out he and Martin had been in the same primary school class and had sung in the same play. Obviously destined to become our friend at some point.
The husbands went fishing at Portland Bill leaving us girls to paint and draw. The guys came home fishless but bearing takeaway cream teas. Much better! I walked over to Rufus Castle and into Easton through the quarry. Such an alien landscape.
We had a discussion about our return journey tomorrow and decided to set off very late tonight to avoid the traffic in the morning. We are all missing our doggos.
