Tachigi-Bori, Wakehurst

An oriental, 'Zen' feel to couple of images taken this afternoon at Wakehurst. In the main picture, the Tachigi-Bori sculpture in the trunk of a Japanese Cedar (Cryptomeria japonica 'Elegans') and in today's 'Extra', a rock in the duckweed-covered stream feeding the pond in the Japanese water garden which is filled in season with the brightly coloured blooms of hundreds of Japanese Irises.
