Left turn's the right turn

evening all,

You know those places that you often see a sign for , a place that looks rather interesting and you think "should go there"

usually as you are driving past, and don't quite have the time or the inclination to take an immediate detour but you sort of feel you should,
but don't because you'll go "another day".

Today was that day for me.

In the olden days when i had less time but better company,  i'd often take my dad in the car whilst working and we'd spot the signs and not go in because i was too busy to stop,

One of those places was the aviation museum at Doncaster.

Closest we got was stopping in the car park once but i got called away before we got out of the car.

I made it today, it was brilliant, much better than it thought it would be,
a real hidden gem of a place and somewhere really worth taking the time to stop and enjoy it.

Sadly, my dad died long before i made that decision to stop and have a look,

so i had no one to share it with ......

there's a lesson there.
