Inverness castle

A seriously last minute blip, spent the day shopping in Inverness. Took this pic of The castle , on the way back to the car. The weather and light was worse than awful today.The castle is visited by tourists I often imagine because they think it is older than it actually is. The site has had a number of castles located there since 1057. and is a very historic site in Scottish History.The current castle was built in 1836 and house Inverness Sheriff Court and apart from a statue to Flora MacDonald and a great view of this growing and vibrant City ( Inverness was given City Status in 2000 and was the fastest growing urban area in Europe) it has not got much going on.
