Decay

I was wondering why my old speakers (30+)were sounding a bit crackly, removed the covers and found the suspension rings somewhat corroded. I was about to bin them when the thought crossed my mind, can these be repaired, quick search on www soon came up with a supplier of the correct parts for an AR 8" woofer. Now ordered, fitting may be tricky.
