Our Corsican circuit commences

Last Christmas our children gave us a return ferry ticket to Corsica. Today we used it. I am not sure how grateful we were at 2am leaving the house to get to Toulouse for an 8am ferry departure but get there we did.
The ferry was huge - eat your heart out P&O - and took a mere five hours to transport us to Ile Rousse.  A quick visit to Calvi was a little hot for sight-seeing comfort and so off we headed towards our Airbnb above St. Laurent. 
A tremendous thunderstorm just as we arrived didn't help finding the place but find it we did and were met by our hostess. The weather cleared quickly and this was the view from the huge terrace of the Airbnb. Not too shoddy.
Off for dinner in a local restaurant which was interesting, extensive and local if not a real gastronomic treat.
