Comfort food

We have an abundance of home grown tomatoes
This morning I made a big pot of tomato soup with enough to freeze some for later consumption.

I also made a cake with apples from the garden.

We had the soup for lunch and it was very tasty. And I am looking forward to afternoon coffee and a piece of cake.

This evening I am meeting up with a group of women friends in a pub in Ightham for dinner. Most of them I havent seen since ,April. It will be another big step on my journey as I havent yet been out with friends for an evening meal. So far it's been lunch dates.

So feet up and a good book this afternoon. Otherwise I will be too tired to go out.
