Tree Farm

Besides doing some sightseeing, we came West to visit two of Lisa's cousins, one in Oregon, and one in Washington. The one in Washington (along with her husband) owns a BIG tree farm. 400+ acres full of conifers. Pine, spruce, balsam, and firs.

It's quite an operation. Irrigation from a local creek, and machinery galore. We got the grand tour, and here one of the workers is "harvesting" one of the pines to be shipped off.

Outside of having a Christmas tree stand during the holidays, the tree operation is wholesale only. 

With an excellent view from high atop a hill, and the delightful pine smells wafting all around us...it's a pleasant place to be.
