On the road

Another transit day - 230km to Hwange, stopping at Bulawayo for supplies. The road is one of the busiest we’ve travelled on and this is a familiar sight as well as the frequent police checks.

Lodge is beautiful and we have a cabin on stilts overlooking a waterhole to view the wildlife.

Went on a nighttime safari seeing elephants, spring hares, civet cats, buffalo and owls ... their little eyes glowing like stars in the dark.
