Beautiful View With Chicken

Most of the day has been spent in preparing the elderberries collected yesterday but later we went for a walk round by the Mortonhall Dower House and its belvedere (extra photo).
On the way I noticed the chicken atop a gatepost, with a fine view over fields to the distant Lammermuirs.
