Gozo
Our pre-breakfast swim was forgone so we could make the 9am ferry to Gozo. When we got off the ferry we headed via Qala to Hondoq ir-Rummien for our 1st swim. Then we went to Victoria (locally known as Rabat) looked around the Citadel, a historic, fortified medina in the heart of Gozo, some of it was recently restored to its former glory.
Then onto Xlendi, for another swim, of course, it was very busy & not as enjoyable as our 1st location.
We then hurried off to a Mgarr Ix-Xini (my blip) for lunch, down what could only be described as a farm lane, narrow in places & uneven. It was recommended, but most people wouldn't consider taking a route like that no matter how good the food was. We arrived in time to have a late lunch of tasty fish dishes. Then we played Monopoly Deal, before a 3rd swim of the day & a bit of snorkelling. If you look at the top right of the photo you can see the step route back out from the bay, you needed a clear run at it. This was used in the film By the Sea, I can only imagine the chaos with a film crew in residence there.
We caught the 6pm ferry, back to the mainland. From the ferry, before it departed, I watched a horse walking into the water to swim in the harbour, I did photograph it on my camera, but am only uploading photos off my phone at the moment. A flock of ducks took off as the horse came towards them.
A well filled day, indeed.
