AND THEY CALL IT RODEO....

Spent the day at the Canterbury Rodeo Assn's annual rodeo at Mandeville, just out of Christchurch. We stayed the night at the grounds, because a friend of ours barrel races and we took her tea and kept her company.
I took a large amount of photos... approximately 900 in all...most of which will become the property of the Rodeo Club. The day was hot, dusty, noisy... did I mention hot? lol, but I had a ball taking photos from everywhere around the rodeo grounds... the dust was a nuisance a lot of the time, as it just didn't make for good photos... although in some cases it made for AWESOME photos! of the 900 odd photos I took, I had a large proportion of action shots like the one I have blipped, and believe me it wasn't easy picking just one photo to blip .... infact I almost just blipped an "atmospheric" shot, but settled on this one.
