Grandma Lisa Lends a Hand

Grandma Lisa took over,
in helping the bride.
So into the river,
she did not take a ride.

This may have been the dumbest thing I have seen in a while. The young lady was coming down the steep muddy path, and then out onto the slippery rocks in 3-inch heels. WHY DIDN'T SHE BRING A PAIR OF TENNIS SHOES? WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST TAKE HER SHOES OFF?

All three of them (the couple and the photographer) were having trouble with the footing, and I was camera ready in case one of them went down. AND THIS WAS BEFORE THE WEDDING! We saw them a half hour later at the lodge they were getting married at.

In the Extras is a front-side picture of the young couple.

This was taken in Glacier National Park. I haven't had much good luck at this park. The 50 mile Going-to-the-Sun road is the highlight of the park. It is a road with many pullouts so that you can enjoy the scenery and take pictures. 20 years ago, we were here in the middle of a huge forest fire, and you couldn't make a single stop in the 50 miles. This year, the road is closed near the summit for construction for two weeks, so you can't traverse the park. The problem? The 2 entries onto the road are 80 miles apart!

Today we went up the western drive as far as we could, and in the morning...we'll tackle the east side.
