Diamonds in the Sky

Today the early sun reflected off our southern windows creating a sparking diamond effect in the ground floor original window.

Directly above, the original window was blown out in a violent storm and replaced with a temporary and rather unsatisfactory wood frame window.

As part of the work we undertook we replaced the upper window with the one shown in the photograph which is also a fire escape window.

Part of the original window was discovered buried in the grounds and I stored it until we could come up with an idea for its reuse.

Our inspiration has yet to deliver an idea.

Today we say goodbye to Stein, who will soon be returning to China after his year at St Andrews University.
