Pretty much all of the right wing press seem to be enthusiastically cheering on a frankly despicable piece of (court cases into legality permitting) entirely blatant subversion of our democratic institutions.

I can’t even begin to imagine the collective aneurysm they would experience if a left wing government tried this sort of nonsense, but they have now set a highly stupid and appalling precedent which can be followed by anyone in the future.

I believe the BBC, who have been utterly shamed by Channel 4 and even ITV during this sorry episode, described it as an audacious move.

No it isn’t. It is a despicable act and anyone who fails to call it out as such should be ashamed.
