Hypogeum

No cameras allowed and visiting strictly by appointment 10 at a time. Structure underground, discovered early last century, was begun approx 5-6000 BC. Cut from the rock with stone age tools, it gives the impression of a temple, similar to yesterday's but with a roof and on a different scale. It seems to have been used for burying the dead some of whose bones survived their discovery. It was a unique experience and I was greatly impressed. Wonderful...
