Day in Portsmouth!

After a stressful week, I was glad to have today off, and went to Portsmouth as planned to meet up with 13South and PeterB :)

I got there around 10 am and had a wander before sitting in a cafe and reading whilst waiting for the others...then it was a day of coffees, walking, expensive but lovely lunch ham, eggs and chips for me :)

There was a slight 'incident' of someone attempting to get into my rucksac, not once but twice :(  

The first time it was a bump and I thought I'd just walked backwards into one of the other blippers.  The second time, I felt someone's hand on me - so I did a quick spin round and this man was walking away from me!!  I took a quick picture and then caught up with the others.  We checked I had everything, and I put my purse in my camera bag with my mobile and keys in case it was attempted again.

After they left, I wandered a bit more, and found a security man at the Quays.  When I spoke with him and showed him the picture he said this man had been escorted off the Quays the day before because of the exact same issue on not just one, but two ladies and also previously on other occasions.  He insisted on taking my name and contact details in case they needed it, but the gentleman concerned apparently had mental health issues....  

I went and sat back in a cafe with a peppermint tea and a naughty cake before setting off home.  The journey home was much longer due to issues on the M3 and A34 junction, but I am home in one piece, feeling very refreshed!
