I Reached The Summit Today
One of the many positives from this weekend !
Interestingly this signpost on the unclassified or " C " road between Straiton in South Ayrshire and Bargrennan in Dumfries and Galloway is only 88 feet short of the highest point on the A9 at The Pass of Drumochter which is 1508 feet, one of the reasons I advise not to traverse it in wintry weather as unlike the A9 there are no ploughs or gritters to be found on it after nightfall.
An enjoyable weekend in the Metropolis but weather near as miserable as in The Veelage, when is it ever going to stop raining.
Enough of the weather, hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did but spare a thought for those poor folks in Tasmania now as fires are still burning out of control in places.
