Overkill? I love it!

Skopje is surreal. In the centre you can't move without walking into a statue. They are everywhere, set against grand Palladian buildings and gold baroque lampposts all of it, as far as I understand, less than 10 years old. They probably said Rome was kitsch once upon a time! 
I tried to capture the feel of it by creating a collage but it doesn't really do it justice. Extras include armed guard fighting off a plumbing disaster and a giant wasp attacking Metodija Andonov
