First of the Season

Crocus.

The label says Crocus suworowianus, seed sown 2015 but although it's a close relative of that species I m doubtful of the correct name.  A trip to the reference books needed I think but I am not at home as I type this.

A perfect late-summery day as we approach the equinox.  Jamie and I visited friends at wheelchair basketball this morning an Una this afternoon.  He's now cooking bolognese for our tea tonight which smells good :-)
