Wish You Were Here?

Day 3 of our short stay in York and we decided to take the train to Scarborough as we had never been before. They actually have guards on the trains here, and they actually check your ticket on the train. We don't get that when we go to London.

I like these plain speaking Yorkshire folk. There was a guy trying to sell energy deals in the main street and he tried the "I'll just give you a leaflet" ploy but was met with a very loud and clear "I don't want one!" And as we were having our obligatory fish and chips in a cafe opposite the beach a lady came in and loudly asked for a pot of tea, "but only if it's Yorkshire Tea!"
