Up and Down
Today was spent mostly at a church conference in Perth, and ended at a Bed & Breakfast in Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria.
So it was off first thing, north to Perth - Letham St Mark's Church (pictured) to be exact - for a conference on Readership in the Church of Scotland. That ran from 10am to 4.30pm. (I don't think think I've ever seen a lunch buffet at a church conference before with vegetable samosas, curried spring rolls, sausage rolls, macaroni pies and scotch pies as well as the usual array of sandwiches.) When that finished it was straight into the car for a drive down to Grange-over-Sands, where I'm attending family Baptisms tomorrow.
Had a really good journey down; the traffic was relatively quiet and the roadworks weren't too much of a hassle. Stopped for a coffee at Tebay Services and arrived at my accommodation for the evening shortly before nine.
Shoes off, kettle on ...and relax.
