Green bus

Up early to watch a bit of rugby and read.

Eco son went to work and I headed to the hill lochs for a day of fishing. Amazing views to the mainland and the uig hills.

First loch sits in a beautiful hollow with a band of crags. These crags have an old eerie high with Heather twigs, aspen trees and Rowan. The heather is immense and full of bumble bees. An old sheiling sits at the top, standing out as a green patch still after many years as ruins.

The fish are small but good fun to catch.

Next loch was too shallow.

A cracking wee one with masses of lilies was next and a few caught here.

My company all day was soaring ravens who came so close I could here the wind in their feathers.

A large expanse next with attending sheep. A tough fish but a few caught.

The last one was rocky weedy and challenging to cast. Managed to catch a few at the top end before heading back to meet returning eco son at the kennels.

We headed out with the dogs to a beach on the west. I chose barvas sand and round stones. A lone surfer waited for the returning swell.

The dogs had a ball and we watched the migrating fish splash around.

A chippy on the way back, fabby day.
