Neon Night Swim

It was the Neon Night Swim tonight. There were three distances...3k, 1.5k and 750m. I did the 1.5k and had to do two circuits of the course. The water was inky black and I could only see the glow stick bracelet as my hand swooped through the water below me.

I decided not to wear the wetsuit and it was a good decision. After the initial eek of getting in it was lovely, the water was a tropical sixteen degrees and it felt wonderful as I swam. The water was so black and smooth it felt like I was moving through silk, I absolutely loved it.

Now I’m home with a hot cuppa, a cheeky chocolate and the electric blanket on in bed.

It’s a busy weekend as I’m off to Bongo Bingo tomorrow.
