African Basil & Bees

Today our local Arboretum was having a Native Plant Festival.

There were lawn games to play and food trucks to get food from. There were guest speakers and live music. There were a few nurseries there selling native plants.

Kent & I headed over after he finished work this morning and we ended up coming home with a few seedlings. Of course I picked thinks that were attractive to birds, bees & butterflies.

One plant the Arboretum has in their herb garden is the African Basil and it was just teaming with big fuzzy bumble bees. I have decided that come spring I definitely want to get some of that!
