Mar Morto

Wonderful Maremma!! So many beautiful places and beaches. Today, the Argentario Peninsula, which is the real gem of southern Tuscany. Sandro, Lidia and I took a picnic lunch. The beach is small and no shade (a hot day), but we were lucky enough to hire beach lounges and umbrellas. Not like Viareggio, I hasten to add. They are just scattered around on the rocks and sandy beach. Swimming in the rock pools was delightful, and lounging in the afternoon with a book (In viaggio verso Cuccagna) was a pleasure.

In the evening we went to the Dance Festival again (also last night). Fabulous dancing by a group from Torino. Even small-town Grosseto has some excellent cultural events!
