A day my mom and I much needed...

First the bad news....

They found blood in my dads urine and they are not sure why.. They ran all the standard test which all came back negative. So for now we wait until they run test again to see if they can find something...

My mom's brother was told by the doctors that there is nothing else they can do for him besides comfort care. Right now he has decided to stay at home and embrace life as much as possible.

My mom's older sister is nearly bedridden. She has gone through a battery of test and they don't no what's causing it.. On Monday she will be going to the big city hospital for further testing.. and hopefully they'll be able to figure it out what is wrong.

A close family friend got a call that her older sister was on life support. Things are so bad there isn't anything the doctors can do except prayers and hope for a miracle..

So on this day my mom and I went to a few of our happy places.. First to a local farmers market where we walked, picked up a few things and.. Then we headed over to Puget Sound, soaked up the salty air, took  long walk, had drinks while looking at the water and..  A good way to wash the sorrows away..

The main photo is an Osprey we saw along the way. In the extra you have the drinks, a water fountain for the dogs, an old man with the birds and a golf course overlooking the water...

A little history about this course. Prior to the 20th century there was a 200 foot cliff overlooking the water. With the Puget Sound area growing so much, sand and gravel was desperately needed. Product from this quarry helped build Interstate 5, Fort Casey, Flagler, Warden and many other buildings. Over 250 millions tons were removed. Eventually the quarry was closed and abandoned. So what do you do with a place like this? A man had an idea to build a PGA quality golf course. In 2015 the U.s. Open was played here. The course in not only open to the public but there is a multitude of walking trails, playgrounds, and..  along with a few remnants of the old quarry as reminders of the past..

A perfect way to spend the day...
