Ready for Fall

My grandson once again stood in to save the day. This is part of our front doorstep display for fall. It was pretty dark when I shot the photo, so I used a high iso and low aperture. 
The lady who checked the bags at the airport gave me an escort pass so that I could help my daughter get to the gate with her two little ones. It turned into a fun adventure. We were early enough to get the coveted seats at the window and the girls were able to watch the people readying the plane for their flight. Sophie was super excited to see her very colorful new suitcase being loaded into the plane. 
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the girls travel well. Baltimore to Seattle is a long flight for a little one in a car seat.
When we got back home from the airport we discovered that my truck's license plate had been stolen. We are so lucky that we weren't stopped on the way to the airport!
After a long day it was a pleasant treat that our son made us an amazing steak dinner, complete with candles.
