Sleepless

Pain was keeping me awake for a few hours. I was given a strong painkiller in the evening but most of its effect had gone soon past midnight. I asked for more but the medicine they gave wasn't that strong and its effect ceased way too soon. I didn't even fall asleep before the pain had got quite bad again. A few hours later I asked for more and now it relieved the pain. Maybe they gave a bigger dose this time, I managed to sleep a few more hours.
