Lullingstone Castle
... goes Mexican! (Back Blipped on 22nd)
The World Garden and Lullingstone Castle are having their Mexican weekend in conjunction with the first CactusWorld Live* event.
I arrived at about 10:30am and it was busy already, before it had even opened. I didn't leave until 6am Sunday morning because I volunteered to keep £10,000+ worth of cactus and succulents safe. Old habits die hard.
I have had little time to process the photos (needed sleep) so I have given you this one of the Mariachi band as a flavour of the day. Los Soneros*, aka Victor and Natalia are a regular feature of the Mexican weekends and didn't disappoint. Behind them you can see an old oil painting of Lullingstone Castle and a wonderful display of dahlias by Darren Everest Dahlias.
I will miss out on Sunday's fun and fingers crossed the weather doesn't spoil the day. Just to add to the hubbub of the event on Sunday a large number of Rolls Royces will be arriving to hold their own little show, something they have done on this weekend for over 25 years.
Subject to internet coverage I may post Sunday's Blip late also.
