Travellers Joy

Yes that is the name of this seedhead.

But it also applies to part of today’s experience.

Here is a recommendation for nature loving blippers who have to suffer a long journey down the M5. Although Gloucester Services are better than most they are still not the best way to take a break.

I recommend Crickley Hill Country Park which is jointly owned by the National Trust and the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. It has a cafe, toilets, woodland walks and great views.

About six minutes from the M5 . Go off at Junction 11A. Take the A417 east and watch for the brown signs.
The two extras show how much better it is than normal services.

Travellers joy indeed.
