Swan Upping

The sun is out again. I've had two swims today - a sneaky one at around 10am on the way back from getting the papers - the tide was in, it wasn't raining, why not! We're back to the bracing Scribbler! Two other women came down shortly after I was out - rather impressively already in their dressing gowns with togs underneath.

Instead of raining it turned into a lovely day and more work tackled in the garden. Lots of apples to harvest and Himself is hard at work stewing some as I type.

It was so lovely a second swim had to be taken. The cloudage was impressive and the three swans came over to check me out. I almost had the photo of the century for whilst I was relaxing post swim on the beach with my cuppa, they were about 20m away and suddenly started treading water, in perfect unison; they took off and headed straight for me before veering off to the lagoon. By the time I'd finished gasping, put down my cuppa, got out my camera and focused the moment had passed - see extra. I had just put everything away again when they did another fly past! (They are in this picture but you have to look very closely)

And I believe the lads in green had a good start in the Rugby World Cup - Himself said it was an excellent game.
