Seranade

I woke up early today, which was mildly annoying after a late night. I've had a bit of a cold and have a cough so I took some cough syrup, which resulted in a massive coughing fit. Deeply irritating. Eventually, everyone appeared, Alf went off to football (a win 7-3 or something which is excellent), Pops had breakfast with us then I had another look at Ted's poorly amp, tried different cables, guitars everything, but no, not a peep out of it. He's only had it for a few months so I'm sure a repair/refund/replacement or whatever will be in order. Bit of a shame though.

The rest of the day involved a lot of loafing, formula 1, some reading, a little guitar playing and cooking a roast with H. Alf was playing along to anything that we were listening to, which seemed to please Bert.

We then went driving, we dropped Alice off at home then Alf drove the long way back. Pops came along with strict instructions to be very quiet (no screaming). He did really well, first time driving at night, first right-hand turn, first roundabouts (5) first dual carriageway, no stalling, good road placement. I actually think he is listening to me ;) Very proud of his progress.
