I have borrowed this little bit of electrical wizardry from the club to see how much difference it makes.  This is a Capacitor Discharge Unit.  It stores up power in the capacitors so that when you throw the switch to change the points it fires a very large and fast pulse of electrical energy to throw the solenoid in the point motor.  I am very impressed with the difference it makes; it also allows more than one point to be changed at the same time.  This will be another item for the wish list.
