Today, a panoramic iphone image taken from the Castlefied area showing the Manchester skyline. As with most views of the city, the 47-storey Beetham Tower dominates; an icon of the re-growth of Manchester since the IRA bombing in 1996. Modern-day Manchester continues to lead the way in urban regeneration; the once run-down warehouses and industrial buildings that line the canal and rail systems in Castlefield are now a mix of bars, restaurants and apartments.
