Motatapu River Valley

Twenty of us in the walk today.  We drove up to the head of the valley.  We took the steep but well formed steps right down to the valley floor and walked along the track by the river.  Had lunch on the river bank and retraced our steps.  Two extras: one of an amazing stack of rocks high up on the rim of the valley and the other of our lunch spot.  Forecast not good this morning but it turned out to be a beautiful day.
