Moomins

I hardly ever go into the shops these days. Today I had a few things to organise and buy in town so off I set. The Oxfam shop is having a Moomin festival. So charming and of course I didn't resist even though Moomins were not originally on the shopping list. A tray, two fridge magnets and a discounted hardback copy of Finn Family Moomintroll make a good start to the dreaded 'C' shopping and a few groats into the Oxfam coffers. That's where I hope they're going anyway if Oxfam has sorted itself out after the recent scandals. I hope my grandchildren love Moomins as much as I do.

I'm lucky enough to have visited Finland twice. Once for work in 2000 and once for holiday in 2002. I would very much like to return.
